Peg Lauver
Her involvement has been influenced in part by her family, which includes 3 generations serving in the state legislature (South Dakota) and in community activism. Peg is active on both the local and state level in P.E.O., an international women’s organization supporting scholarships and education for women.
She served 6 years (1998 to 2004) on the Community Curriculum Advisory Panel for the Mesa Public Schools. Peg was chairman of the School Improvement Advisory Council for Mountain ViewHigh School as well as chairman and charter member of SIAC at Poston Junior High in Mesa. Ms. Lauver was a member of the Mesa Public Library Advisory Board for 7 years and worked for 9 years with the Art Masterpiece Program at Highland Elementary School.
Peg worked for over fifteen years as a medical office assistant to Southwest Pulmonary Associates and served several years as curator of the C.H. Mayo Historic Home and Olmstead County Historical Museum in Rochester, MN. Ms. Lauver received a BA in German Language and Literature from the University of Wisconsin, where she continued with 2 years of Masters graduate study in Art History, in addition to graduate work at UC- Berkeley in German Literature and the U of A in Prehistoric Southwest Indian Art.
